Not only do I continue to appreciate the quality of your writing (and the human-created artwork!), I love how you are a part of my continued education as an astrologer. I know I can get focused on the outer planet cycles, especially in this period when they are all moving into new signs, but I'm glad you're helping me learn to pay attention to the "faster" personal planets and their cycles, too. So, thanks for that.

I figured the few random folks who listen to my daily podcast might appreciate hearing your article, so I took the liberty of reading it near the start of the episode, with, of course, mention of a link to it in my show notes and a strong recommendation that people give your work a follow! Anyway, thanks for your continued work, and here's what I came up with (where you can learn about my favorite fragrant fall tree in Japan, which is the cover art!):

Yes, thanks for recognizing my Saturnian effort with the daily podcast.

It was just something that came to me as “an assignment” during what was a powerful Mercury Retrograde last December when the Mercury kazimi was right on top of my natal Mercury.

In 2023, I’d decided to consciously work with Saturn and one of the things that came from that was developing consistent, daily habits so this podcast was the 2024 version of that.

Having said that, the project will end on 12/31/24, and I’m not sure what comes next. A few ideas are percolating but I suspect it will become clearer for me in December. For one thing, I know I’ll be using the winter months in 2025 to re-commit to my astrological studies, going over the materials from Year 1 of Adam Elenbaas’ Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic course so I can take—and pass—the certification test in spring.

I started that course last November and Year 2 in June, but to tell the truth, have just sort of fallen behind as other things have taken priority. It is what is, and that’s all good!

Anyway, it’s already super satisfying knowing I’ve got 292 podcasts finished and published and able to listen back on for the rest of my life and it’ll be even cooler getting to 366! (It’ll actually be 376 because I did 10 “practice” rounds on my old podcast feed to determine if I wanted to commit to it). But I’m sure on 1/1/25, it’ll be both refreshing and strange knowing I don’t have to do one!

Anyway, thanks for noticing the effort—I’ve purposely NOT promoted it for a variety of reasons, but it is nice when someone acknowledges how much work it must be!

Okay, keep up the good work, my friend! I really LOVE the way you communicate this wonderful language of astrology and mythos!

Adam, I’d love to be able to reflect more clearly on the cycles so I may start documenting my themes/desires/knowings/feelings each month.

Given the shifts and turns of the planets, I’m wondering if there is a best time to document? Each new moon? First/mid/last of the month? Daily might be a bit of a lift, though if recommended I can attempt it.

This post instantly got me thinking/reflecting - I had strangely similar and challenging Augusts these past 2 years…

i'd start with the lunar cycle for sure. if you can track a theme throughout, you can then graduate to the mercury and so on. it's essential to really get this material imo. it takes time and notes and commitment though—like all things =)
