Structures of Epiphany
...Saturn finally made it and I nearly did not. Stay tuned for a reluctant sailors Full Moon tale somewhere below
Yesterday was my final day on Pico. Of the 9 islands of the Azores, it’s one of the quieter ones, populated minimally by humans, and mostly by cows, vineyards, and wild orange trees. The cetaceans absolutely love the place. From orcas to blue whales and all the various dolphins in between, they circle the volcanoes and sing songs to it. Whatever song they’ve been singing lately though, has brought on Poseidon’s wrath.
The wind doesn’t blow on Pico, it sucks. So much so, my flight to Sao Miguel was canceled due to the winds and given to the next island over Faial for a better go of it. So we had to take a ferry across the angry seas. Quick note: I once thought I was going to learn to sail, but once I tried out my first lessons off the Big Island, I couldn’t find my sea legs. Brutally sick each time. It happened again yesterday just as Saturn was inching in. And then, the two flights were the type you read about in the papers: 100 Azoreans, a few Europeans, and one poor American crashed into the Atlantic to never be found again, just like Atlantis. But I made it, obviously. Barely though.
And so today, to celebrate, I cruised up to the caldera and soaked in the biggest and brownest hot springs I’ve ever been in called Terra Nostra. With a renewed love for freshwater, I hiked around tea fields as I stared down at the sea contemplating what was to come for the next 2.5 years with Saturn. Tea, unlike any other plant, helps me to internally build structures for my epiphanies. Tea helps me sit straighter, it helps me breathe deeper and helps me think clearer. Stocked with a few bags of Azorean green tea, my teapot back in the Shire will be excited about the unique leaves. Can’t wait.
Before we get into the Dragon Hole a step further, it’s that time of year again, when Sajah is offering his FREE AstroHerbalism classes. Being an ally of his and always willing to point you all into areas where you can join plants and planets closer together, I can’t help but help shill these classes. The chart for this Dragon Hole:
The Moon peaked in its fullness a few hours ago. I believe I was swimming around in the iron-rich volcanic hot spring as it did so. I couldn’t see it though. Didn’t need to. I was One with the Virgo/Pisces polarity at that moment.
Take a look at Saturn there in the 8th house: 00º00’. That’s the ingress, my friends. If you remain in the Whole Sign camp after that odious kerfuffle, it also just entered a new house. What I’ve witnessed so far over the past few weeks is that there have been strong premonitions regarding this ingress, with resolutions already underway with it. Issues rearing their leaden and ugly heads being resolved with gratuitous grace. With Saturn though, we can’t get ahead of ourselves, yet we can get ahead of the issues. I hope you are off to a good start. This is only the beginning. Time is on our side.
Aside from the obvious two transits I’ve just touched on, we also see Mercury in Pisces, who has begun his disappearing act, moving at breakneck speeds. We can often forget about him in this phase. Don’t! This is where our Ideas are being tested from the beginning of the cycle back in January.
There will also be a Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aries before we enter a Dragon Hole together again. This will occur on the 12th at 14º Aries. It’s a pair that conjures up forgiveness and the remembering of how great stories are indeed worthy of constellations. Thanks to Jupiter (Zeus) we get to gaze up at Chiron until the end of times. It can be an auspicious start to a springtime cleanse, clearing the way to build those structures for the epiphanies to rain down on us.
The skies of March are arguably the most interesting of 23’. So much more to come…
.: Where does it come from? :.
If you listened to my latest podcast on Saturn in Pisces, you are aware of how I constellated both the history of Peter Pan and the psychology of the story in the show. I shared how it came to me as well. I was just patiently waiting by the sea for days for the right story to speak so I could fit it into the show. And then it happened. Well, little did I know this was in post-production and about to be released:
They’ve made some changes. The Lost Boys are no longer just boys, Hook is Jude Law, and Tinker changed races as well. But these are our times. Crazy timing, eh?
And also, a student of mine had a similar epiphany come to her related to David Foster Wallace’s THIS IS WATER speech. It relates so well. If you aren’t familiar, have a listen; If you are, have a relisten:
.: A favorite Gemini :.
I’m not one to choose favorites, nor do I care too much about celebrity, but I will have to admit, what Russell Brand has become over the years has me quite impressed. His ability to hold both sides, work with paradox and nuance, and deliver the goods in a humorous manner is a High-Gemini skill. And as Gemini, I feel I’m allowed to offer such praise more so than someone who is not. Recently, he’s been tearing across the US, making appearances (no idea how he got there, being it’s more likely he’s a ‘secret agent’ than vaxxed). Both the Bill Maher and the Rogan slots are worthy of a watch. Even if ol’ Rus is your bête noire, it’s good to take on the opinions of the ‘beast’ from time to time. It’s Saturn's work, actually. Here is the JRE ep: (see: Gemini patch over his heart)
Speaking of controversial ideas, this Tiktok situation is heating up. And the next hearing is to be held on the day Pluto moves into Aquarius. Being that I’ve literally never used Tiktok, I don’t have a finger or eye in this race, but the whole China connection and the gathering of information part is definitely concerning. The US seems hell-bent on poking all the beasts in the world in the eye these days. Not great. Another structure seems to be failing where so many find their epiphanies.
.: Full Moon Orange :.
In my last piece, ‘The Pill Guide,” the first comment on FB was from a woman who said it was great until she got to the Bitcoin part, then she stopped reading. My feeling around such rude comments, is, “Oh well!” I can’t check all your boxes. I’m just being me. But if you read this far in the Dragon Holes, you clearly are interested in taking your bi-monthly orange pills. And I won’t stop sharing down here. Bitcoin is something I truly believe in and I know it gives us a fighting chance. This is the least I can do. So, here’s a chart that may take you a second to understand, but essentially what it illustrates is the unprecedented conviction of Bitcoin hodlers:
And to level the playing field, this tweet from Peruvian Bull is sobering in the most Saturnian of ways. He also has a great Youtube series about the Debt Spiral we have entered if you are interested:
I get asked a lot about Ethereum and other coins. Well, I used to a lot more. It seems you are beginning to understand my stance as a Bitcoiner. But nothing could make my point more clearly than comedy. This just happened in Denver at ETHdenver. And look, I understand it’s silly. But so is the majority of the crypto space:
This is the end. I must gear up and be ready for my crack-of-dawn flight back to the UK. Seems a winter storm awaits. Another Saturn in Pisces weather warning. I’m beginning to notice a trend here.
Until next time. Thanks for reading all these words. Hope you feel smarter and happier because of it. May it act as a support beam in your structure for more epiphanies to come.
I do feel smarter and happier after reading all these words strung together by a thoughtful mind such as yours.
Jeeeze ...stay safe out there A.S.
I commented to my fellow student Melissa last night that I’ve become an Astrology nerd because of your lessons and teachings so you can’t go and drown on us now (lol)
I Love reading about Bitcoin even if the only understanding of it comes from you.. which is I guess what happens when your genuinely passionate about something, it starts to rub off.
Rude people are becoming the norm but I guess it makes us grateful for our friends and supporters.
Enjoy your tea and see you at school! Thank you for all you do :-)
