Thanks Adam, that’s remarkable. So grateful that despite this witnessing you continue to heed the beautiful call.
I have loved this poem since the moment I found it. When she says ‘towards heaven’ for me it was always towards spirit/the heavens/the mythic. Perhaps this dear poem might help to unshackle those who feel condemned by their chart.
I won’t lie, reading that some ‘blame’ the stars was surprising to me. Maybe I’m naive? My life has had its challenges to be sure yet the star maps have helped me to find my strength/ made sense of life’s journey/ made sense of well, me. But to blame? I have compassion for any who feel they are in a space of powerlessness such that the stars are to blame. The stars have given me strength. To me, the maps are such mythic, dynamic partners and revealers of dreams and truths. Thanks Adam for speaking of the bending today and always mentioning the dragon.
Heather, you are the exception to this rule—in fact, I would wager that way over 50% of those into astrology, are allowing it to create more anxiety and fear in their lives than help it. Just my observation from 15 years in the field...

A Prayer
Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.
You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening.
― Clarissa Pinkola Estés
