“There's a wealth of opportunity clinging to the world”
~Sam Beam
As some of the world reaches around in the dark of the TikTok ban (then un-ban?) in the US and head-scratching ceasefires are set to take place, Venus and Saturn are having their yearly meeting (it was exact on the 19th). At 16°05’ ♓, the two have been putting on quite the show after sunset lately Her lofty ideals being met with the harsh realities of circumstance; it’s been a conversation taking place in the center of all of us. At the heart of the matter is the question: What is our relationship to risk/reward, and how can we identify where we need to take some chances and where we need to pull back?
No matter what our circumstances, there is always an opportunity to make it more abundant. Whether that be financially, through our networks of friends and family, or by exploring the infinite resource that is our imagination. It just takes risk. Venus is pulled by the object of desire and it’s Saturn who reveals the reality of what it takes to get there. It’s always possible—to a degree—it just requires risk. If you want to find love, you’ve got to put yourself out there; If you want to be successful in your project, you have to put in the hours; And if you want wealth, well, you should have bought the TRUMP memecoin this weekend (I kid). It’s all risk/reward.
Being that Venus is nearing the end of her synodic cycle with the upcoming retrograde, it’s important to remember the beginning. This cycle began with the Maui fires in August of 23’ in ♌(read more HERE). Try to remember what the theme was in your life at the end of that Summer. Look to where it was in your chart to deepen your reflections. Once you find it, then try to make sense of how Venus has helped you grow in your relationship to the theme— hint: self-expression and our story around putting oneself on display are a couple of strong manifestations of it. I do find it interesting with the timing of the Tiktok fiasco; one could argue that the app is both a remarkable and utterly horrifying expression of ♌. But also with the fires… Again, the Maui fires were the beginning, and it’s LA now. There is a thread to follow here. There is a connection. What do the two places have in common? How do they relate to Leo?
Venus/Saturn is also sextile to Mercury at the moment. He is speeding towards the Sun—on the other side of it—with many worldly concerns on his mind (♑). Will he take over Greenland? The Panama Canal? Canada??? How do I prepare for the crash? What crash? Should I leave the country? Do I ask for another date? Just a slew of serious questions that may be racing through our minds, yet in this sextile relationship, there are helpful insights offered from both sides; perhaps Venus/Saturn are able to concentrate Mercurys’ focus on what matters most and then, in turn, he is able to reveal a path of inquiry they didn’t know existed. Information is indeed power. If you had known the TRUMP coin was going to go 10,000x in one day, you would have put all you had into it—or with Bitcoin or ‘the one who got away’ or fill in the black of one of your missed opportunities. We need the intel, and we need to know when to take risks in life. There is something percolating around this theme. Let’s look at the Chandra symbol to see if it deepens this idea:
PISCES 17
A kangaroo and her baby, who looks out from the mother's pouch.
…when is the right time? The right time to leave our comfort zone never quite comes. It’s up to us to will it into existance. What is familiar can always be revisited, but it’s what is unfamiliar that helps us encounter soul. Venus in Pisces has no issue fantasizing about what could be or how it all should have been, it’s just that now, with Saturn fading into the mist, we get to sober up, and finally make a move. They are telling us to ‘hop along now.’ It’s time.
In the context of all the big transits of the year, with all the outer planets moving into new signs—including the social planets—we can sometimes miss the smaller moves with the inners. If I’ve learned anything over the nearly two decades of being a student of the skies, it’s that the inner planets tell the story just as well as the outers, and in some ways, they are even more relatable. And so, if Tiktok was your way of life—your Venus—and the feud between China and the US just tossed a stick in your spokes, it’s important to start looking into how this is an opportunity for you. Same with any circumstance we feel to be insurmountable. These are all gifts. Everything is right on time. Saturn is the supreme reminder of this. And when we understand this, we are no longer afraid. Abundance is guaranteed!

Hi Adam - As you well know, I've given a lot of thought to the Leo Venus cycle in my personal life and totally agree with you that the inners often provide more relatable context for our personal lives. I'm curious about this comment though: "If you had known the TRUMP coin was going to go 10,000x in one day, you would have put all you had into it—or with Bitcoin or ‘the one who got away’ or fill in the black of one of your missed opportunities." Don't you think this also relates to Venus-Saturn in terms of our values and willingness to live by them? Personally, I disagree with this statement. I wouldn't have put all I had into many things including T coin if I'd known. It goes against my values. Don't you think that this is part of the challenge of these times - to align our values with our actions? And don't you think that is part of the ask of Venus-Saturn in Pisces?
Adam, I've missed reading your posts. Substack's app became a wee bit too intense for me, so it's back to brows(er)ing. I wonder if that has something to do with the astro quality of this time.
As a Venus in Pisces person (and a Leo rising) this one seems to have struck quite the chord, maybe it's the Chandra symbol (born in Australia and was close friends with a Wallaby growing up, her name was Alice, we followed each other around a lot out bush).
I kept hearing Audentes fortuna iuvat or "fortune favors the bold" as I read this. Over and over again. I've been told I've been courageous in my time, perhaps in some ways, however I am feeling this one stirring deeper, more hidden inner truths, requiring even more of me to cast off from whatever shores of safety I cling to and sail into the unknown.
