I often wonder what it would have been like to be educated in ways alien to what we are familiar with today. To be an initiate or devout Pythagorean, to be a space holder at an Asclepian Temple, constantly learning lessons from the liminal. What passes for school today is bleak in the comparison I create in my mind; I’m an idealist, I know, but there are better ways.
Recently, we began a new class series on Dream Cartography (the intersection between our dreaming and the stars) and it has me longing for just how augmented the learning experience could be if we had abatons (dream incubators), a dedicated location, and the time to dream and heal and laugh about it all. Now, I know it’s possible because we’ve done it (2x), but for most of our time learning these days, it’s online. I’ve surrendered to it. In fact, a part of me has learned to love it.
Which reminds me to remind you about the incredible Alchemical Mystery School event that is happening. If you didn’t sign up yet, have a look at the teachers with the LINK below. I think you will agree it is worth the FREE and also just may scratch that ancient itch that always needs scratching. Sometimes, these online events are just what we need. And if you are interested in being a part of the Dream series, you will find some of those LINKS below as well.
I’m off to the old country tomorrow. This wyrd Fall adventure has concluded. I’m eager to make sense of so much that has happened and turn it into something digestable and, hopefully, beautiful for you all soon.
