Inner Planets & The New Year

The three are all on the side of our resolutions...perhaps

My dear readers,

I cannot tell you how it feels to be back in my own space. Three long and exciting months of movement—an entire Mercury cycle—all over the states, having seen most of my friends and family, to finally land back in my familiar chair with the grey view of the moor, just in time for the Solstice. It’s a wyrd feeling. Let’s get started!

One of the themes I’ve been tending to at the year’s end is how all the inner planets are either already at the beginning of new cycles or about to be (in the case of Mercury on the Solstice). I feel there is something auspicious about this trifecta:

Venus, getting more and more comfortable in the morning sky, yet still spinning in the fields with youthful folly.

Mars, who is still not visible, yet whose cycle has already begun, is having red revelations and being called to some adventure.

And then, there is Mercury, who is currently retrograde and the cazimi will occur on the 22nd (think Solstice); we are seeking an Idea, or…is it seeking us?

With the novelty of all three, I see this as a strong trade wind for our sails. 23’ has been hard on many of us, this here is a chance to catch a breeze out of it and into what is possible next year.
