Hey Adam sorry to hear this!

I stopped charging 4 subscriptions on my substack, instead people pay me directly with zaprite https://zaprite.com/ a bitcoin/lighting fiat company and I offer services in a different way that sustain my writing and other offerings- I also don’t define my articles under one name…

Have you tried nostr?

There is a whole other world using open source as a way to communicate

Be well

yes, I"m familiar with all that, but it cannot be integrated into Substack; plus, less than 1 % of my readers/listeners use Bitcoin it seems. Hope in the future, but for now, not so much.

My practice is mostly face to face analogue. But astrology here in nz has not risen above the status of dubious hobby 😢

that's the way to do it. And it's still "dubious hobby" status here as well...and the US

I definitely share your concerns regarding censorship. I recently started writing a weekly astrology article on Substack that has so far focused on politics. Unlike all of our legacy news outlets I have taken pains to keep my writing non-partisan. In our current political climate this has been of no consequence. I believe that anyone starting out from scratch with no following has as difficult a time as ever establishing oneself. The corporate stake holders have no interest in allowing anyone a voice who is not under their complete control. I don't think that established writers, even those who would otherwise be sympathetic understand this situation. Most are too focused on other issues. Anyway, it is a rather disturbing time we are living through. I am glad I found your Substack. I can tell from reading this first article that your others will resonate with me as well. And please forgive me if I engage in a little self-promotion something that can get you banned or severely harassed on most platforms. How did we get to this place and why are so many unconcerned or unaware. See my last article on the Kennedy/Nixon debate. Tomorrow I make predictions on the upcoming Trump/Biden debate.

thanks for reading Anteros. And that's smart to try to keep your stack non-partison, but even that translates as right these days. Best of luck with all your writings.....

Sorry to hear this Adam.

Reinette Senum posted something similar about Stripe/Substack without the astrology issue. https://substack.com/home/post/p-145724917?source=queue

sorry to hear that. and yeah, I've gathered a lot of stories from writing this. my intuition is accurate, that this seems to be revving up. which to me, is terrifying. #bitcoin =)

Lost Stripe ‘privileges’ when I offered a CBN tincture product out of about 30 other non HEMP related products. No go on the reinstatement. A sin too heinous to forgive.

I've seen a numbe of people using "buy me a coffee", ko-fi and tip jar models on their substacks. I don't know what payment portals they all use but I'm pretty sure you can set up a tip jar via PayPal.

I had that on my old site. Didn't seem to work too well. Maybe I try again. The ideal is to have my BTC address there, but I'm afraid not many would use it. We aren't quite there yet.
