And we are back. Until September 2nd, we shall receive the next introductory dose of Pluto’s long sojourn in Aquarius. If you use Whole Signs, he has also just arrived in a new house. This is something to take seriously. An initiation is imminent, and it is both beautiful and beyond powerful.
With all the chitter and chatter about AI—which clearly has its place alongside this transit—there are a couple of other themes we must consider: the religion that is science and our relationship to the idea of progress. The two have embedded themselves so deeply within the collective psyche that it’s nearly impossible to separate them from the way we see the world. In a reality that has become more and more secularized generation after generation, we have replaced god—or the gods—with these concepts (there are others, but let’s keep our focus here). Science and the idea of Progress have changed the world, there is no argument here—and in many cases, for the better—yet there are always tradeoffs. We can see it in every conversation we get tangled in with a skeptic of astrology; the scientific revolution and the Enlightenment were traded for the metaphysical and magical. And as far as progress, we can spot it all over ourselves. If we aren’t ‘progressing’ then where are we going? If we don’t feel like we’ve made ‘progress” then what’s the point? Pluto’s time in Aquarius will bring the wyrd and anomalous, likely changing our relationship to the two. Timeless and unprovable. It’s going to help us remember.
Back in 08’ when Pluto moved into Capricorn, he did not disappoint. Showing the rot within the system and how corporate interests and government ones are one and the same. What concerns me, is that nothing has changed in regard to those problems—in fact, they seem to have gotten worse. We do have Bitcoin now, yet even that is finding itself in the wolf den as of late. And so, we study the past to understand the present. If this round with Aquarius is anything like the late 18th century, we are in for a lot of map redrawing and exponential growth in certain industries (I think we know the ones). It won’t be boring.
That’s all to say, it’s a good time for dreaming. This Sunday, we will gather for the 3rd installment of the Dream Cartography series to talk about prophetic dreams. I think we could use at least a few of them. Hope you can join us. Link is below.
Thanks for opening,
much more coming soon…

Good stuff, as always, Adam.
One thing I'd like to inquire about is this section: "Back in 08’ when Pluto moved into Capricorn, he did not disappoint. Showing the rot within the system and how corporate interests and government ones are one and the same. What concerns me, is that nothing has changed in regard to those problems—in fact, they seem to have gotten worse."
I wonder about this. I'm just riffing here; it may amount to nothing or worse.
Yes, things seem to have gotten worse---but what is this reflecting? My sense is that when Pluto moves through a sign, it stirs up the deep waters of that sign, bringing up some muck, some treasure and all things in between.
What I'm getting at is I feel like Pluto EXPOSES. It shows us the ROOT, and then we can see if it is healthy or not. Or, maybe as it goes through a social sign like Capricorn, ROOTS is better.
So I think while these old institutions are holding on and may even seem stronger---especially in terms of wealth acquisition and seeming access to Power---way more people in 2024 than in 2008 are AWARE of their corruption and are thinking of ways to take Power back, or maybe in a more Aquarian fashion, create an alternative to the global mainstream order.
Just some thoughts.
