There’s an old Spanish proverb that suggests to see the world and leave out Sintra is to go blind (I’m surprised it’s not a Portuguese one). Perhaps we could adjust it by saying: that to see the world and leave out the Northern Lights is to go blind. Sadly, I couldn’t see them from where I’m at. It was cloudy. But they were here. They were everywhere. For so many, not only will they not go “blind,” but they will be able to check it off their list without traveling to extreme latitudes.
Who would have thought that they were going to see such a display from their back porch? It’s one of those mysteries. It’s unreal to me, that as the Sun gets more active and begins to explode and flare up, we see such beauty in our skies. A lovely reminder of polarity and safe distance. The fear was that the colossal X5.8-class solar flare would take out the grids, which would have been hilariously timed with Mercury being in his final steps of the post-shadow, but this did not happen—thankfully!
So, did you see it? Admittedly, I have some FOMO around it. I was out there both nights, wandering the Mountains of the Moon trying to get a glimpse, yet ended up with nothing.
I did gain some clarity about this Mercury cycle though. I realized, that it was back in the Spring of 18’—the last time Mercury's cycle began in Aries—when I really began to track and trace his cycles. Ever since they have only grown on me. Truly, they are the most magical way of tracking time. I’ve taught many classes, done just as many Journeys, and written loads on the subject since. And so, here we are: post-shadow complete, morning star position established, the Idea hopefully percolating, and with a fresh stack of books on the shelf. If you find yourself confused by this cycle, I point you to this, this, and this. Also, the best way to learn more and experience the magic can be found below.
Thank you for opening! I hope you still have some of the pink and violet in your eyes from the weekend.

If you’d like to go on the Mercury Journey with me, I still have 2 slots left. There has never been a better time to embark than right now. It’s just begun. Click him to learn more:
Also, the Venus Mahadasha class is now available to download. For those of you who are fans of Zodiacal Releasing or Annual Profections, this time-lord technique is much, much more powerful IMO. We are now 4 classes in, but you can join at any point:
I also did a solo pod this month to explain the new show, why I made the change and a few examples with the current sky. Have a listen:
Constellating Cosmos: an introduction
In this pod, I give some time to explain the latest changes to the show. For many of you, nothing may seem to change; for others, it may be confusing or abrupt. Inspired by the Jungian concept of constellating psyche, this new title borrows some of its spirit around fully engaging with "archetypes" and leans more into the planetary side of the equatio…
My latest piece of writing about Mercury and this Taurus lunar cycle:
.: Mountain of the Moon :.
"A Templar's duty does not end with the setting sun, for our watchful eye never rests." -Templar saying I find myself in the shadow of the Mountain of the Moon. Arriving in the fruitful darkness of the New Moon (Taurus), I have set up camp as the Templars did nearly a thousand years ago in the West of Portugal to do some work. The reason I chose this lo…
I’ve also had an idea to widen the net of support over on Patreon. So, historically, the $100 tier was a limited one given to my personal students—and still is—but what I’d like to do is include an option for it to also apply to follow-up readings with me. As you know, doing one reading is never enough. I do offer packages, but I understand things are tight out there. And so, moving forward if you’d like to support my work, gain access to all our monthly classes/parlors/practice charts/apprenticeship recordings, and also get a reading with me each month, this is now an option. You can pledge your support HERE:
I’ve also got a couple of slots to take on students one-on-one; if you are interested, you can learn more about the Apprenticeship HERE; You can also just watch the classes and learn. Certification isn’t required:
You can also join future classes by supporting my work in becoming a Patron HERE:

The flying goat is a wonderful touch 👌
The energy of their dance was felt even when not seen. Had a subtle glimpse while in the Wisconsin dales with interesting photo artifacts around the moon from solar flare reflections. Striking with Castor and Pollux so clear near the Gemini moon.
