Version 2.0
...Luminaries cross the Aries Point, all things equal, and Pluto is about to click a button
Glorious Equinox to you all,
It’s nearly been half a year since I started writing these Dragon Holes. I’d love to hear some feedback from you. Do you enjoy reading them alongside my more topic-specific pieces? Do you not even notice the difference? Would you recommend I do anything different or lean into certain segments more? I’d love to know.
With the Sun now in Aries, the Astrological Year has reset. The Aries Point has been crossed, the charts for the year have been cast (see below) and the Moon is about to do the same, and then comes the New Moon. Through my studies of Gann over the past year, I’ve learned to pay attention to the Aries Point, even more so than I have in the past. I’ve always seen its power, yet the way it tends to affect markets is extraordinary. And what are markets, if not a collective psychology charted out in real-time.
The title of this Dragon Hole is Version 2.0. It’s not an upgrade to this publication I’m referring to. I’m referencing both Chokepoint 2.0 and GFC 2.0. Maybe you noticed, but banks are falling like dominos lately. The last time this occurred was in 08’, just as Pluto announced its entry into Capricorn; now that he is leaving, it seems clear Pluto wants the world to remember just how rotten and corrupt the financial system is, and that he helped forge the creation of a solution in the heart of the rubble 15 years ago. It’s the most poetic entry/exit I think I’ve ever seen with an outer planet. Uranus moving into Aries with Fukushima immediately in its wake was interesting, but there wasn’t another on its exit in 18’. Anyways, we will explore this Pluto story in more depth within this Dragon Hole.
Here is the Aries Ingress Chart for 23’. Save it. Study it. It’s an old pastime.
A Scorpio rising year, with the Nodes coiled around the horizon (Asc/Dc). The two rulers, Mars and Pluto are in aspect to one another via an inconjunct; it’s a relationship that demands adjustments.
Last week, I wrote about Mars leaving its post-shadow, being out-of-bounds, and how it’s about to move into Cancer (my next podcast will be on the subject as well). I argued that the Twitter files about summed up Mars’ time in Gemini. Think: deep state leaks, polarizing characters (Elon/Trump), endless online fighting, IRL fighting, and, of course, the way it makes us all feel. The war for our minds isn’t new, it’s just that this Mars chapter brought a spike in our collective awareness of it. The Ministry of Truth may be around the next corner. Hell, it seems to have already arrived.
With Pluto, just days from stepping out of that Whole Sign 3rd house (3.23; and he will be back), it reinforces the need to look at our tactics of communication. It’s such a joy seeing a subtle phase shift around the divide between the left and right, the corpo-empire and the plebs. I’m seeing lots of encouragement out there to bridge the divide. We need to learn to communicate with each other. To agree to disagree. It’s so obvious. It’s so hard. To put it in practice, boy that’s the rub.
The adjustment then is around how we communicate. There’s this Dale Carnegie quote I picked up as a kid, being surrounded by men in the business, which I think relates perfectly: “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” Why not try to understand your crazy uncle who voted for the Red King? Why not ask some genuine questions to your friend who refused to get vaxxed or vise-a-versa? Why not try to understand really what they mean about what a woman is or is not, instead of fighting the current? And it’s not just about winning friends, it’s about learning as well. It’s about inviting in peace.
We can keep digging into this chart, but we must move along. I’ll inject these themes into the news below.
.: Another Revolution? :.
The French love a good protest. It goes great with old cheese and Bordeaux. What they have been protesting lately was sparked because of Macron changing the legal age of retirement by a couple years. It didn’t go over well. Being that Pluto is about to move into Aquarius, and the last time it was there was the French Revolution, it may be one of the stories worth following closely during this transition. With all eyes on Russia and China, I think looking around at home is just as compelling for guessing what is to implode next.
.: Storytime :.
As many of you are aware, Martin Shaw is quite the storyteller. I’m a fan. A Scorpio man who syncs up nicely with the spirit of the year and our time. He has surprising suggestions for what we can do during such transitions. Emergence magazine and Martin teamed up and created this exquisite piece which is part prose, part video. I think you’ll it:
.: The Chokepoint :.
I mentioned above something about Chokepoint 2.0. It’s important to first understand the original. Operation Choke Point was an initiative of the United States Department of Justice beginning in 2013 that investigated banks in the United States and the business they did with firearm dealers, payday lenders, and other companies believed to be at a high risk for fraud and money laundering. Those ‘other companies’ were mainly online poker services. Effectively, they debanked the industries to choke them out and destroy what the DOJ deemed unworthy or dangerous. The same exact process has been revamped, this time its target is crypto.
With over 5 major bank failures in the past two weeks, a few of which were deeply associated with crypto companies like Coinbase, it’s no longer speculation on what they are trying to do. Yet, the plebs (us, the people) don’t seem to care one bit. Here is a chart that illustrates what is happening perfectly:
Banks down, Bitcoin up..a lot! It’s the flight to safety narrative Bitcoin was built for. In the first block of Bitcoin on Jan 3rd, 2009, Satoshi attached a headline from a newspaper talking about the Chancellor being set for another bailout of the banks. And, here we are. More bailouts. Yes, we will pay for it. Yes, they are bailouts. And no, neither Bitcoin nor crypto caused these bank failures. Negligence and poor money management by bankers are the roots of this madness, and it’s only just begun.
The level of incompetence that appears to be present within both the Fed and the Treasury is hard to understand. So I usually conclude that it’s not that, it’s more nefarious than stupid. Have a watch of this Senator drilling Janet Yellen, the head of the US Treasury, about the bank runs that are happening:
Back in 2008, when Pluto moved into Capricorn, I wasn’t paying close attention to stories like this. I was actually at the beginning of my astrological career, so my nose was in the books, trying to figure out what the hell it means for Pluto to be in Capricorn in the first place. We now can see what it was this round, on a macro scale: two Great Financial Crisis’ acting like bookends to the most artificially induced boom in the history of the world thanks to free money (near zero interest rates) and the deflationary effect of tech like the iPhone. To sum it up, I’ll leave it to the South Park guys. They always nail it:
So, what to do? Well, I’m not a financial advisor, but I’m sure you can guess what I’m doing. Pluto has been my guide in all of this. Into Astrology, into the plant world, and even into Bitcoin. I trust what comes next will not disappoint. The singularity is nigh.
Version 2.0
Another enjoyable read, thank you. I especially appreciate that some of your work is free. I would support your Patreon if I could. I also like that I always have to read a couple of times and look things up, like Gann. And that you get that astrologers in the antipodes are not upside down. Chur.
I’m enjoying reading these and I learn a lot through the topic specific writing too (in answer to your question). I too learn most about the news of the world from my Substack feed (the rest of my learning is mostly via books and sitting in nature/at my altar). My tender nervous system stopped me from looking out at the ‘news’ about 10 years ago. I almost fell off my chair when you said 2008 was 15 years ago. That GFC still feels fresh and impacted so much of how I save and invest $... The way the stars reflect/predict/influence our world is just such a gorgeous reminder to me of the prism of our realities. Cheers as ever Adam for following your Astro-curiosity, you’re helping me make sense of things.
