The Last Week of 22' (and a Mercury Cycle)
The Lovers of the Inner Sanctum lose their embrace, Pluto looks over her shoulder, and a New Year awaits
This will be the last Dragon Hole of the year. Even though it’s still finding its wings, I’ve been enjoying getting into a groove in writing them. I felt terrible when I missed this Sunday’s release. But when you are now part of a family whose women are all born around Xmas, it leaves little time for writing. I don’t know how Michael did it.
Anyways, let’s start this one off with a quote from T. S. Eliot, “In the end of all our exploring will be to arrive, where we started and know the place for the first time.“
These wise words seem to resolve the eternal tension between Gemini & Sagittarius (Elliot has a Gemini Moon) and can be a healing force at this year’s end. They can also point towards the end of any cycle: a trip, a program, a book, or even a Mercury cycle. Healing is in the return.
2022 will always be remembered in my mind as the year of the Everything Bubble and its ability to block the truth from our eyes. When the year started, inflation started running hot and the FED just said it was transitory. Then, a month into the year, as Putin began to warn the West of his moves, everyone was saying the invasion would never happen; it happened. Then, throughout all of 22’ as inflation-that insidious hidden tax on society-kept creeping higher, all the central bankers were late to respond to the problem in raising rates. Now, we are in a quagmire heading into 23’. Recession seems guaranteed, which will only increase the stress and worry and pain for all of us moving forward. Another part of the Everything Bubble in my eyes is the influence corporate media has on the world. Independent journalists seem to have taken over, which is to me, the best news of this past year. The blowback is clearly seen within the slow release of the Twitter Files (more on this below).
The fiat world is struggling in keeping its reality in focus. We enter 23’ with Mercury retrograde, having stationed just degrees from Pluto. The Pluto Return continues into next year for the USA. If you are looking for the silver lining, it’s going to be found at the edges. This is going to be a decade-long transition in my opinion. But at least we have begun to see behind the curtain and validate many of our senses. The transition of Pluto into Aquarius and Saturn into Pisces will without a doubt, shift the collective images, but it’s not an instant entry into Shambhala. This will take time.
As you can see in the chart, Mercury is now officially retrograde and will remain so until Jan. 18th at 8º of Capricorn; cazimi will occur on the 7th at 16º of Cap and the cycle will begin anew. It’s during this phase of the Mercury synodic cycle when we begin to watch keenly, like an eagle on the wing for the movements of interesting ideas in our psyche. We wait to be claimed by one of them.
Being this Rx began within a few degrees of Pluto and right there with Venus, we can create a deeper context for this pass by considering late Capricorn and their influences at the moment. Taking place in the 3rd decan of Capricorn, the vantage point is taken from the mountain peak or from the highest turret of the castle. It’s a space where we can actually learn from history, because of how clearly we can see it; it’s also an effective space for future planning. It conjures up the idea, “history doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes.” So the question both personally and in a mundane sense is simple: Will we learn from the past? With Pluto, the last time it was here was the late 18th century; with Venus, it was 8 years ago. What can be learned from looking back?
The challenge of all retrograde periods is keeping our heads on straight. All MRI’s (mercury. retrograde. interventions) can easily push us from our center. The best way of combating this is by asking the feathered trickster questions when MRI’s come, like: What should I be doing? Where should I actually be? Why now? What next? If we are able to ask, we will inevitably get the answers we are looking for.
And so, let’s touch up on a few of the mundane themes which may (or may not) relate:
.: Gaslit, twit :.
If you’ve been reading these Dragon Holes since the beginning, you are well aware of the Twitter Files. There are two stunning developments they have created: 1. The undeniable evidence of the collusion between government agencies and Twitter (and likely all social media platforms); 2. The gall of corpo media to claim it all to be a conspiracy and the gullibility of those in the public who actually listen to them. The Twitter Files should have you enraged. If you aren’t, you aren’t reading them. Here is Bari Weiss talking about them and also the latest drop about the Covid censorship:
As a result of all of this, Elon is being destroyed, as are Tesla stock prices. Some of it is deserving. He has undoubtedly acted out of character, yet lots of it is fabricated. It is going to be telling what Mercury brings us throughout this retrograde. I feel that by the end of it, in late January, there will be even more clarity. There’s also this late-to-the-party Black Friday deal:
.: Back to the Basement :.
As T. S. Eliot mentioned at the beginning of this Hole, “In the end of all our exploring will be to arrive, where we started and know the place for the first time.“ For SBF, this is his parent’s basement. After begging to be extradited to the US, his parents paid the highest bail bond in history, a mere $250 million to have little Sammy home for the holidays. It’s not looking good for his case though, nor does Pluto moving towards his Mars/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius in the coming years. Dark days ahead from the shady face of crypto. But…he is sorry. I mean, really, really, sorry. Watch this:
Oh, and speaking of tech stories, I nearly forgot about ChatGPT. As the year closes, I do think AI, especially in the form we are seeing with ChatGPT is the winner of the Uranus/North Node innovation story. I asked it to explain Mercury Retrograde. This is what I got:
.: Holding the line :.
It’s been a terrible year for Bitcoin. The sad part is that Bitcoin didn’t do anything wrong. The network is stronger than ever, adoption curve looks like a hockey stick, yet it was the rest of the overly leveraged crypto space that helped destroy both price and sentiment within the sector. I very much look forward to the day when Bitcoin decouples from both the rest of crypto and also the stock market. Bitcoin is more like gold than it is anything else, yet it’s treated like a high beta venture bet. We are so early. When Pluto moves into Aquarius, BTC will officially move into the phase of mass adoption. Some inspirational orange pills for the New Year:
And one more thing I’d love to add, which are some of my favorites and losers of 22’….
fav book of the year: Little, Big by John Crowley
worst book: Ministry of the Future by Kim Robinson
fav cinema: Shantaram/or anything by Taylor Sheridan
worst cinema: Sandman/or Last Kingdom
fav person: Matt Tiabbi
worst person: Gary Gensler
fav album: Xavier Rudd Jan Juc Moon
worst album: Ye’ Donda (may be 21’, but let’s just say it was this year)
and the Tweet of the year, which just happened, and ended in an arrest:
Happy New Year my friends!!!
Thank you! Happy New Year Adam <3
Hey Adam, I’m enjoying your Dragon Hole Posts. Thankyou and Happy New Year.
I was watching this interview with Whitney Webb yesterday and thought you would appreciate it. She knows so much about all the corruption that’s been going on since way back when. Just amazing info and so interesting to listen to. Here is interview if you are interested.
