If you have a sensitive finger, you may be able to lick it and stick it to the air to feel the change in the breeze. You may sense the first trend change of 23’ is upon us.
Personally, I’ve been hanging out in the 16th century a good bit lately. After finishing Holy Blood, Holy Grail last month, I stumbled into a hidden Liz Greene historical fiction novel she wrote the year I was born called The Dreamer Of The Vine. It’s the story of Nostradamus, told by Nostradamus. Historical fiction is my favorite literary genre, and in this one, Liz does it quite well. Thus far, the two big takeaways have been: 1. Nostradamus was not who I thought he was; 2. That time has an eerily similar feeling to our current one.
To comment on the latter first, Pluto was in Capricorn, transitioning into Aquarius during the most monumental parts of Nostradamus’s life experience. A black wave of the Plague devastated much of Europe, the Inquisition was fiercely alive, and Luther and Calvin exacerbated this tremendously. There was also a significant End-of-World expectation with the 1524 alignment in Pisces which failed to bring the Anti-Christ, but no doubt amplified the themes already mentioned. And as dark as it was, it was also the Rennaissance. Nostradamus was a celebrated healer and astrologer and some of the greatest magical minds stirred within this time period. I feel we are clearly in a similar Renaissance currently. Perhaps they always occur alongside the darkness because the wisdom of the past is reached for to help build context to the shaky foundation of the present.
And there was also that time between then and now when Pluto was also in Capricorn, transitioning into Aquarius-the late 18th century. Revolution was in the air, the Industrial one was grinding its gears, and many of the rights we now take for granted can be traced to the founding fathers and the Napoleonic code (American/French one). In essence, great results inevitably come from this tectonic transition, despite how bleak it may seem. This is one of the biggest themes of 23’, as you are probably well aware. Let’s see it:
You can spot Pluto at the top of this moment. Arms raised, lifting the Soul to heaven, it’s no wonder it has been Pluto I’ve talked about up to this point with you, being its placement on the MC. And as important Pluto is for understanding the macro themes of the year, this week is more of a focus on The Lovers. Mars finally stations and just before it happens, Venus perfects a trine, that letter arrives, and Eros lights up our inner skies.
The trine happens tomorrow actually (Jan 9th at 8º Gemini/Aquarius). This is the initial gust of wind into our sails. A sense of being seen, of knowing the value of all our setbacks, and the strength accrued in our waiting. When Venus and Mars trine one another, there’s always at least a momentary opening to allow a trickle of appreciation into what we have become.
Venus will also square the Nodes on the 11th, creating a bending. Oh, how Time has a way of throwing it all in our faces; the past feels haunted, the future a race, leaving us feeling all over the place. Bendings are perfect for editing our stories and making new deals with the dragon.
And finally, the Mars station which comes on the 12th at 8º Gemini. Since the eve of Halloween, this celestial mosquito has been sucking the blood from our better spirits, keeping us on edge, irritable, and perhaps constantly dealing with something we don’t want to be. If you are a Gemini, you may have had it worse than others (I actually feel like I missed a bullet this round). We will remain in the post-shadow till mid-March. So for now, we integrate as the changing winds keep our sails full and our hearts hopefully feeling the same.
.: Sifting through the Info War :.
As mentioned above, Gemini’s have been hammered during this Mars Rx. From Kanye to XI, Jordan Peterson to JFK, it has been relentless. And it’s not just Sun signs either. Elon has Venus in Gemini that has been stabbed at more than a few times, alongside the bluebird company he took over. Have a look:
Mars has crossed Twitter’s natal Mars 2x and will a third time in the coming weeks. Whether you use Twitter or not, it’s still an important story to keep in your field. It brings the freedom of speech debate to the fore and also government overreach. I’m still astonished there are those on the left saying “nothing burger” and how it’s all been anecdotal. It reminds me of many stories in the past when Pluto lurked in this terrain. We must be discerning about all messaging which comes from the State. Worrisome echoes can be heard. And so, there is quite the stir around Nostr at the moment. Have a click to learn more:
It worries me to my core that this issue around free speech, compelled speech, and ‘wrong think’ has grown to be normalized in the minds of many. This always predicts a terrible outcome in the future. I’ve also been spending some time in the 20’s and 30’s trying to understand the last 4th turning in more detail, and what the transition of Uranus from Taurus into Gemini felt like. The rise of Communist/Fascist ideologies across the world was unparalleled in that period. The popularity of these competing thought forms of governance was much more pervasive than you may think. Just like today. It’s important to keep ourselves in check, never overly identifying with any idealogy-esp one which demonizes “the other.” And so we see themes like this:
It’s a continuing trend. Jordan, again, being one of the Gemini targets of this Rx. The Lobster King has many unpopular ideas when it comes to gender laws and the state of the world, yet he also has many valuable ideas to share as well-especially around mythos and psyche. To imagine a world like Orwell did where there are education centers for being accused of ‘wrongthink’ is definitely a world I will not be living in. It’s what makes this MEME funny:
.: 3D cures? :.
I recently learned about Relativity Space. It’s now SpaceX’s largest competitor. Instead of manufacturing all the parts for their rockets the old-fashioned way, they are 3D printing everything. The entire rocket can be printed in under 6 months. The race to Mars has just quickened. Also the speculations we all have of what Pluto in Aquarius will offer. Personally, I think it’s more about AI disruption in the coming decades than terraforming Mars, but what do I know? Have a look:
There’s also lots of headway occurring in the VR space. People laugh at META and also the crypto degens rattling on about the metaverse, but it was the same in the early 90’s with the internet. It was the same with Martin Luther and Martine Luther King. History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes. The rhyme here is something like: Last time it was the fridge, this time a bridge…to another world. Or: We had to separate State and Religion, we now must separate State and Corporation. You get the idea.
.: Sound Money :.
On January 3rd, it marked the 14th anniversary of the Genesis Block. This is when the first Bitcoin was mined. And so, in nearly half of a Saturn cycle, this open, decentralized protocol went from zero to nearly half a trillion-dollar asset class. It’s not nothing. Yet, more people seem to hate Bitcoin more now than ever. This is what happens in the bear market. It’s natural. And so I will not quit on you in these Dragon Hole’s. I will continue to share the real news about what is actually happening with Bitcoin. It’s the least I can do:
We are now officially in the longest bear market in Bitcoin’s history. Not the deepest in % terms, but the longest. We can thank Jerome Powell, shady lending practices outside of Bitcoin in the greater crypto space, and SBF for this extension:
And I found this little documentary wonderfully uplifting and helpful in making the humanitarian case for Bitcoin. In other words, spelling out the Aquarian North Node story quite clearly:
Oh, and I also have a new website. All of my classes aren’t up on it yet, but the essential ones are. Have a look if you so desire. All my services are there as well including my Bitcoin services I now offer:
"Personally, I think it’s more about AI disruption in the coming decades than terraforming Mars, but what do I know?" I don't know what you know, but I agree with you. I read an article this morning about smart consumer electronics and how poorly they're regulated or vetted - databanks of personal information.
Thank you as ever for articulating the soma through the stars. I feel the pulses and tensions, flittering like the luff on my jib; I’ll be traveling halfway across the planet a week from today and can’t help but wonder how things will feel after these next seven days. Feels like a time to sing to the sails...
